Matt is an auctioneer with a deep love for boating and lake life. Growing up near the water, Matt developed a strong connection to the boating community. Matt married into an auction family leading him to get his auction license. Through working with the family's company selling real estate and personal property, Matt recognized the need for a specialized auction platform tailored to boaters and marine enthusiasts, which combined his personal and professional interests and led to the creation of Dockside Boat Auctions.
His vision was to provide an easy and accessible way for boat owners, buyers, and sellers to connect, ensuring that everyone could enjoy the thrill of an auction for assets they loved. Whether it's a classic sailboat, a sleek motorboat, or any other type of watercraft, the Dockside platform brings together like-minded individuals who share Matt's passion for life on the water.
Matt and his family live on Old Hickory Lake in Mt. Juliet, TN and spend their weekends boating, tubing and soaking in the sun.

J.J. grew up spending time on Norris Lake in East Tennessee and has been an auctioneer since 1986. Since getting his auction license, J.J. has been an integral part of the success of the family business he married into, Ayers Auction & Real Estate, and now serves as partner of the firm as well as principal auctioneer and principal broker.
J.J. Holds the following designations:
CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute)
AARE (Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate)
ATS (Auction Technology Specialist)
He is a past board member, past president, and a Hall of Fame Inductee of the Tennessee Auctioneers Association.
J.J. has served as President and Chairman of the Board of the National Auction Association. He was inducted into NAA Hall of Fame in 2021.
J.J. has also served as a trustee for the National Auction Foundation.
On the weekends, you can find J.J. and his family spending time on their floating home on Norris Lake and out on his surf boat.
